The Story Begins,
Darlin' was the very first song written by both Joshua and Alexis; before they were married, before they were even dating. Darlin is a cute love song. In the lyrics you can hear the honest nervousness of two people getting to know each other. The story goes, one day at Joshua's house Alexis and him decided to do some song writing. They came up with a melody and chords they liked but they were stumped on a good lyric. They both had an idea but were too nervous to tell each other for it seemed in their own minds too cute and also it would express their feelings about this unspoken budding relationship. They finally over came their fears and shared. It was the same hook, the same line of thought and also the exact same lyric. Whether it was God's intervention or their own hopeful notions; they both separately wrote: "Darlin' can we try this thing together?" Thus was the beginning of The Koh Kohs.
